My Project
In my ride project i showed the rail going off the Pali. The reason for that is because i am against the rail project. Their was a battle of Nuʻuanu so king kamehameha came from Hawaiʻi and the chief of Maui came from Maui to Oʻahu they were having a fight. The reason for that fight was because King Kamehameha wanted to take over Maui. So they meet up at Nuʻuanu Pali and had a battle. Maui lost to Hawaiʻi because King Kamehameha and his men had canonʻs, western guns, and Hawaiʻian spears. so all Mauiʻs men fell off the cliff. So that is my story on what i was inspired to follow. So in my art work i have the two Hawaiʻian flags representing clouds. the Kanaka Maoli flag. Then the Hawaiʻian flag which is upside down it represents distress. Then i have the Rail going off the Pali cliff. Then i have Kamehameha standing in the back of it because if he was alive i could only imagine what he would want to do to the rail.
